The mission of the Little Flower Home is to provide safe and temporary residences for homeless pregnant mothers and their children, and to assist and support them in their efforts to secure a permanent living arrangement.
We believe pregnant women need a home, not a shelter. Thanks to an all-volunteer staff, and generous donors, we operate a network of seven homes and apartments throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts, using the Safe Families Model. Mothers are provided a private room and offered an array of social services in an effort to drive healthy outcomes for both mother and child.
Founded in 1984, the Little Flower Home is a lay Catholic 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, which does not discriminate based on religion, age, origin, etc. Through our work, we defend the sanctity of human life by helping homeless pregnant women at a time when they are most in need. Since our founding in 1984, we have welcome over 800 guests through the Little Flower Home.
We hope to welcome many more in the future.
